Ward Bos is a Dutch artist, born and raised in Amsterdam. He lives and works for a large part of the year in his renovated farmhouse in Sweden. This website shows a selection of his work, both his paintings and his murals.
Ward creates all his paintings from mental imagery, fantasy or memory, in a realistic and impressionistic style. In his landscapes, forest views and depictions of the seasons, Ward finds inspiration in the surroundings and scenery near his atelier in Sweden.
Every commission is a new challenge for Ward: to give the walls a character, and the room or hall a defining atmosphere. Sometimes a single bird or a window painted as an optical illusion is already enough. Another time he might paint an extensive scene encompassing several walls.
